Since the pandemic people didn’t come just to visit but to stay for a living most part of the year and come back to their country for the summer. Working online, earning in another currency and living in a beautiful and good weather country if a very attractive option!
This wave of immigration brings many good things for locals and creates a nice mix of cultures but let’s not forget the Mexican one! Gentrification started to happen in many different places and the art and culture to adapt to what would pleases the visitors and sells. Create tours that work closely with local culture, celebrate and promote it, is a way to preserve it and to show to the community and to Mexican youth that it is also possible to make a good living showing their identity, food, knowledge and folklore!
On the other hand, traveling to another country is not just discovering new landscapes or getting away from your routine, it is also getting to know a new population and realizing how many realities there are in our world. To leave behind judgment, observe and learn. It doesn’t mean that you have to agree with everything you see or hear, just observe. It helps grow empathy, understanding and it enlightens our similitudes more than our differences. We are all different and all the same.
